Looking Forwards..!

A string of poor decision making and pure incompetence at board level saw top promotion challengers battling out relegation over the course of the season. But now, as a club, Rovers need to put this season to bed and finally look forward to starting a new right from the scratch.
It looks like Derek Shaw, Managing Director and Rovers' club secretary, Ian Silvestre are soon to see the axe fall on them after the Henning Berg Court Saga. Also Karen Silk, finance director is working her notice to quit her position from the club. So, looks like Rovers are set to get an almost entire new staff at boardroom level(Hopefully competent staff). Venkys either need to hand over powers of decision making to someone experienced and trustworthy inside the club or drag their ass' to Blackburn and make the decisions rather than summoning club staff to India to discuss various issues every now and then.
Coming to the club manager, a decision Venkys have never got right thus far in their reign, they have to shortlist proven and experienced managers at championship level at least for us to stand a chance to get promoted. Rookies dont work. Not everyone can be a Mourinho. We've twice failed miserably in finding the new "Mourinho" by first appointing Henning Berg and then Michael Appleton. If Shebby, you're going to do the same mistake for the third time, dont shortlist anybody, give it to Gary Bowyer, the man saved us from an inevitable relegation. But not anoybody else who has an unproven record.

Finally looking at our large squad. We need trimming, in size and in wages. We need players fighting for the team and not walking around taking their wow pay. We need to get rid of many players earning high wages and adding almost nothing to team, you know who I am talking about. Danny Murphy, firsts that list.

Etuhu, Pedersen have been poor everytime they have stepped on the pitch, sell them off. Its not gonna be easy though. Paul Robinson, another man who can be sold after being replaced by Jake Kean as club's numero un. We need to build our squad around the likes of Jake Kean, Henley, Hanley, Dann, Rhodesy. They are our strong players. Keep them and build around them.
Rovers need to ensure the managerial appointment right, and then leave the rebuilding of the squad upto him. Have to back the new man in charge with funds when required, and get done with the transfers before the pre-season starts. The sooner, the better, because that gives the new people to gel in with the team over the course of the pre-season.

Writing this in hope of a better and great next season where we'll be real contenders and a competitive unit after two seasons of pure misery.

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

A New Era!!!

Yes, definitely, we have seen the back of the bald one, Steve Kean is pretty much gone. With his resignation, was the end of a lot of turmoil at Rovers, and now, its a start of a new era at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Henning Berg, a former Rover, winner of 1995 Premier League Trophy, and winner of a treble at Manchester United, has been handed a three year contract for managing the team to an instant comeback to the top flight.

Berg is taking on the job, which, a while back, called 'Impossible' to be taken by a manager with good credibility. He also once blamed Venkys for being out of order, and for Blackburn Rovers relegation. So why did he take on this job!?, is a question many will have in their minds, just like me.
But even then, all that matters is Berg has accepted the role of managing Rovers. Finally, putting the managerial saga at Rovers to bed.

I call it new era, because, from here, everybody- The players, coaches, the fans, and of course, himself, start of in the same direction. Everybody starts with a new chance of proving oneself from here on, and players neglected under Kean's regime, can push the pedal and try impressing the new boss.
Yes, Berg has not had the best managerial record, but he dealt with teams in really difficult circumstances financially. So, considering that, he's done a decent job thus far. At Rovers, he has the cash(atleast more than what he had) and surely is under no pressure to sell the best players. Let us all hope he excels under these conditions, only for our own good.
I urge all, Lets now pull in the same direction, stop all the booing, they all play for Rovers, and Rovers means us, so, they play for us. Start filling the empty stands at the Ewood Park, lets now become a happy club once again. Average attendances of 13,000 with a stadium capacity of over 30,000 is sad to see for the players, they want and need your support in this fight to achieve promotion right away. If anybodys' got problems with the working, deal with it differently, but not by boycotting home games.
Lets now hear cheers for the Blackburn Rovers' Manager- HENNING BERG.!!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!

An Urge- Get Together!!!

My previous blog got me comments saying I have lost my mind and so on, I ask, WHY?
Solely because I like the manner in which Venkys are conducting operations at Rovers currently? Its not just me. Many like it!

For me, its all about Blackburn Rovers as a club, neither solely Venkys, nor the fans constitute the entire clubs' running. Its about togetherness that we can help in our own little ways for the club to rise from its recent failures. Its all about how owners compliment the fans and vice-versa. At first, the fans, tried to get together to solve it all, but they never accepted it, but now, they are trying to, so what are people out there doing? Disposing their offer of peace and togetherness at this club? REALLY?

Venkys, this summer, have looked very intent to make the right signings and help the club manke an instant return to where it has always belonged, Premier League. With the squad we have, in addition to the few more interesting signings yet to be made, we really seem a force to be feared in the Championship. We certainly have one of the best squads in the Championship. Yes, the manager looks incompetent, but if we dont find ourselves top after a quarter of the season, under the current Venkys regime, Kean might just get the boot.!

One question, I would really like to put forward-
You really wont watch YOUR club play home and away, ONLY, because Steve Kean is at the helm and Venkys run the club? Get real dude! Its YOUR club! And the team desperately needs each one of you out there...
Do you really think Venkys and Kean are worthy enough to let you ruin your emotional attachment with Rovers? Well, if you do, reconsider it! Because I don't see much sense there!
